The job that quietly stopped existing
Nobody announces it. There is no memo saying this role is finished. What happens is that a job stops being advertised, and it takes two years before anybody notices.
Think about the roles built almost entirely on doing a thing repeatedly and well. Not deciding what to do - doing it. Those are going first, and they are going quietly, because a company does not fire the person. It just stops replacing them when they leave.
Which is why "my company still has this job" is weak evidence. The question is whether anybody is still hiring for it.
So go and look. Search your own title - the exact words on your last appointment letter - and count what comes back. Not roles that sound adjacent. Your title.
What number did you get, and did it surprise you?
