Search your own job title. What number came back?

A company does not announce that a role is finished. There is no memo. The role simply stops being advertised, and nobody notices for two years because nobody is looking at the hiring side.

Which is why "my company still has this job" is weak evidence. The question is whether anybody is still hiring for it.

So go and look. Search your own title — the exact words on your last appointment letter, not something adjacent that sounds near enough — and count what comes back.

What number did you get, and did it surprise you?
